Pedoclimatic Environment
Hilly areas with elevations around 300 – 600 meters and soil made of arenaceous, marly-limy substrata, clayey veins, sand and presence of stones.
Grape Varieties
Only the best ripened grapes, mainly come from the Bordeaux varieties, are used to produce this Rosso Toscana IGT Supertuscan Grande Baccio.
COLOUR
Bright ruby red verging on garnet red when aged.
Characteristics
This wine combines the passionate work of our winemaker with the power of the terroir. Grande Baccio has a generous bouquet with intense ripen red fruit flavours with hints of morello cherry and violet. This wine also has a nice vanilla flavor that gives complexity and persistence to the bouquet. This fascinating wine invites who is drinking it to a meditative tasting.

This wine is a particularly suitable accompaniment to red meats, games and ripen cheeses
Serving Temperature
Serve at a temperature of 20°-22° C.
Wine Making Process
In red, with 12-15 days steeping on skins in stainless steel tanks under controlled temperature conditions.
Ageing
After vinification the wine is aged in oak barrels for 12 months or more, the wine is then briefly transferred back into stainless steel tanks before bottling. A final refinement in bottle of some months improves the character of the wine before the release on the market.
