Our Terroirs

Alborense

The Morellino di Scansano DOCG is the emblematic wine of Maremma, an authentic expression of the region, encompassing its history, culture, and pristine nature. Le Chiantigiane has created a wine that stands out for its quality, the result of passion and profound knowledge of these lands. Each bottle expresses a deep connection with the terroir, imbuing the wine with unique value.

The vineyards stretch across an extraordinary landscape where rolling hills and Mediterranean scrub merge, creating an ideal microclimate for viticulture. Morellino di Scansano DOCG Alborense is born here, a wine that thrives in a land naturally suited for viticulture, particularly for red wines. The long exposure to the sun, the marine breeze and the protection provided by the hills create the perfect conditions for the optimal ripening of the grapes.

The result is a wine of great structure, complex, full-bodied, and rich. With an enveloping aroma, elegance, and persistence on the palate, the Morellino di Scansano DOCG Alborense is distinguished by its ability to age beautifully, offering an unforgettable experience.

Montagnana

Montagnana is one of the oldest wineries in Tuscany, a historic estate in the Florentine countryside. As early as the Middle Ages, it was owned by the monks of the Certosa of Florence, and the land was cultivated. Over time, olive groves and specialized vineyards were introduced, marking the beginning of wine production. These particularly well-suited lands are now the heart of Montagnana’s production. Thanks to expert craftsmanship, the grapes and wines, which blend tradition with modern winemaking techniques, are of excellent quality. It is from this region that the Montagnana line originates, which includes Chianti and Chianti Riserva.

Geggiano

The legend of Dionysus, who chose the Sienese hills to plant Sangiovese, finds one of its most captivating expressions in our Chianti Classico. This wine combines a rich history steeped in poetry with the region’s exceptional quality. The steep slopes and the presence of galestri make this area ideal for producing an outstanding wine. The grapes are harvested in late September, when they reach optimal maturity, giving the wine a unique smoothness thanks to its sweet tannins. Le Chiantigiane has selected Geggiano to produce a wine of great value. The landscape surrounding the vineyard, shaped like a “butterfly wing” and overlooking Piazza del Campo, encapsulates the poetry and history of our Chianti Classico DOCG.
