Pedoclimatic Environment
Hilly areas with max. elevations of 400 – 600 meters from sea level. The soil is mainly composed of sand and is rich in silty veins.
Grape Varieties
Mainly Sangiovese grapes, plus other grape varieties may be added following the instructions of the Rosato Toscana IGT production law.
Colour
Bright pink with cherry highlights.
Characteristics
Pleasant and fresh with scents of wild strawberry and rosehip. Harmonious and savoury with an aftertaste of raspberries and strawberries.
Gastronomic Combinations
It is an excellent aperitif wine, also recommended to accompany fresh cheeses and desserts.
Serving Temperature
This wine should be served at a temperature of 10 -12°C.
Wine Making Process
The grapes are softly pressed and the must obtained is allowed to settle for 12-24 hours at a temperature of around 5°C. The must is then decanted and alcoholic fermentation begins at a temperature not exceeding 14°C in stainless steel tanks. Fermentation is completed after 20 days. The wine will continue to age on fine lees for about three months until bottling in the months of February or March following harvest.
